I AM SO SORRY FOR DITCHING THIS//HERE IS A REVIEW IN APOLOGY

HEY GUYS. So sorry I haven't posted on here since late 2013, a bunch of issues had to be resolved yadayadayada. ANYWAY, I'm applying to be a co-blogger on fangirlsoffiction.blogspot.com and this is an example review for the owner of the blog to look at (it's not attaching to the email) :) It's a review of the 2010 film adaptation of Alice in Wonderland; enjoy!

ALICE BACK IN WONDERLAND                              15th January 2014

By Charlotte Bowers

Once again, Lewis Carroll’s beloved classic ‘Alice in Wonderland’ is making an appearance in the film industry- but this time, it’s with a modern twist.

Director Tim Burton makes a comeback this year with his 108-minute film adaptation of the classic with Hollywood’s favourite cast, including Helena Bonham-Carter and Johnny Depp.

The 45th-time adaptation of the novel since its publication in 1865, Burton has a lot of competition in making this the best remake of them all. As this is to be the most modern adaptation yet, his ambition to make ‘Alice In Wonderland’ the best off them all has become ten time more difficult.

And does he achieve that goal?

Of course he does! Burton has succeeded once again in making this twist on a loved classic oh-so-special, and without a doubt can I say that this is my favourite of his films yet.

Featuring top-class actors, such as Mia Wasikowska (Alice) and Anne Hathaway (White Queen),the film just gets better and better the longer it goes on.

Not usually a fan of the green screen, admittedly I was shocked to discover that the digital-crazy mix of CGI and green screen-along with various other special effects- came out on top for me, with beautiful enhancements on the backgrounds and not a flaw in sight for the editing as far as I could see. It was evident that this film was truly meant to be special and pay dividends to the novel, and Burton once again has reached for the sky and rested with the stars.

For me, this is the film of my year- and it seems the rest of the world thought so too, as it reaped in $1,025,467,110 at the box office; and it deserved it!

5 STARS
